Hubbard Professor in the Practice of Architecture at the Harvard GSD. In recognition of her outstanding body of work, she was inducted to the National Academy of Design, the Academy of Arts and Letters, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>Toshiko Mori Architect (TMA) is known for nearly four decades of innovative and influential work in a diverse body of projects that have received numerous design awards. TMA\u2019s intelligent approach to ecologically sensitive siting strategies, historical context, and innovative use of materials reflects a creative integration of design and technology. Their designs demonstrate a thoughtful sensitivity to detail and involve extensive research into the site conditions and surrounding context. Her project \u201cThread: Artists\u2019 Residency and Cultural Center\u201d was awarded the AIA and also inaugural FIBRA Award for Contemporary Plant Fiber-based Architecture.
